All our ponies and horses are very unique. To guarantee that your rope halter will fit correctly, we recommend to always measure your horse before choosing a standard size. Simply follow the below step-by-step guide:
Step one: Muzzle circumference
Place the tape measure ca. two fingers beneath the cheekbone and measure the entire circumference of the muzzle.

Step two: Bridge
Place the tape measure ca. two fingers under either cheekbone. Now measure from cheekbone to cheekbone the bridge of the muzzle

Step three: Cheek
Place the tape measure again ca. two fingers beneath the cheekbone. Now measure from here to behind the jaw the length of your horse’s cheek.

Once you have all your horse’s measurements, you compare them to the below chart and determine whether your horse falls into the below categories or needs a custom fitted halter.
Muzzle Circumference | Cheek Length | |
Shetty | 47-49cm | Approx. 22cm |
Pony | 52-55cm | Approx. 25cm |
Cob | 58-62cm | Approx. 28cm |
