Rope Halter Info
Material
Rope halters are made from 100% polyester double braided rope. This leaves you with a product that is highly durable, UV resistant, colour fast, low abrasive and soft.
Unlike other rope halters, Noveldey Products’ incorporate a flowing ring. This allows the halter to stay in the correct position on your horse’s head while in use – making it much more comfortable.
Correct Fit
The noseband sits around two fingers wide below the cheek bone while the cheek strap is not crossing over the cheek bone. The throat strap runs behind your horse’s jaw.
Your horse should barely notice wearing the rope halter, it should be light weight and sit loosely on your horse’s head without restricting chewing or yawning.
Rope Thickness
Rope halters come in 6mm or 8mm thickness, while 6mm is usually the most common choice: They are very light and ideal for a precise communication between you and your horse. Something to keep in mind, the thinner the rope, the stronger it can be. To conclude, signals arrive very clearly at your horse’s head.
8mm is still light weight so that your horse barely notices wearing it. Due to the thicker rope, signals arrive gentler and a little less clear.
Important!
If handled incorrectly or too harsh, a rope halter (like most other pieces of equipment in the equestrian world) can become a sharp tool and cause damage to the horse. Please always use a rope halter and any other piece of equipment carefully and appropriately in every situation.
